Unresponsive Controller

If the controller is unresponsive, it's possible that power was plugged in backwards and 5 volts got applied to one of the uart pins and damaged the controller.
To check if the controller is working or not, there are a few tests that can be performed.
If it has firmware version 1.06 or later, the LED on the board between screen port 1 and the led port will flash when the controller is powered on to indicate what version of firmware is running. (this LED is blue on most boards, but red on a few).
If the board LED flashes several times, it should mean the board is working. If it comes on solid, the controller might be dead.
Another check is to check the LED next to the white button on the teensy board. It's orange in color and should be flashing really fast (it might look like it's solid on). If it's on, the board should be working. If it's off, go to the next test.
Press the white button and a small red LED next to the USB connector should come on. If it turns red, try reprogramming the firmware. If not, there is one more thing that can be tried.
With the USB unplugged, hold down the white button and plug the USB back in. Continue to hold it for at least 15 seconds and the red LED should flicker on. Release the button and wait until the red LED goes out and the orange one starts to flash. This restores the firmware back to a basic flash LED program. The controller can then be flashed with new firmware.

If none of these tests pass, the controller is dead.
You can return the board to me and send me $30 and I'll replace it and mail it back.
